Come Heavy Sleep

Images of COME HEAVY SLEEP taken in rehearsal and performance at RSC Pilot Night, July 2012. This 15 minute test was made in collaboration with TAPP, a graduate ensemble of performers from Coventry University and 101 New Music Theatre.

Taking inspiration from Shakespeare’s bloodiest tales we told an invented murder story in reverse with no spoken text, but with a strong physical language and a musical score played live throughout. The music moved from 16th Century Lute composition by Robert Johnson to Noise pop into  Industrial Grindcore and a 1950′s style romantic ballad to finish.
